Emerging Media Studies is a multidisciplinary field integrating critical analysis, creativity and communication into strategies for effective business, entertainment, education and research use through the examination of social networks, new media, and virtual worlds. Located within the College of Communications and through a range of disciplines including media studies, communication, psychology, art, history, writing, philosophy, and sociology, our programs address the importance of understanding the social and cultural implications of an “always on” world.
