Item Hausa Ajami reader & multimedia website(2025) Ngom, Fallou; Rodima-Taylor, Daivi; Yanco, Jennifer; Kurfi, Mustapha H.In this Reader, you will find materials in Hausa Ajami. The Hausa Ajami Reader builds on the Ajami manuscripts, texts, and records digitized by project members during fieldwork in Hausa communities of Senegal. Our manuscript selection focused on promoting Ajami literacy, cultural literacy, oral proficiency, and linguistic knowledge that is directly applicable to many professional and academic disciplines. The Hausa Ajami Reader contains six thematic units with biographical information and images of the authors or discussants of the manuscripts, texts in Hausa Ajami with Latin-script transcriptions and English translations, images of Ajami user communities, glossaries and notes, and pedagogical exercises.
