dc.description.abstractRev. Dr. Ray Hammond was a medical doctor and headed the medical unit of the Barnstable (MA) House of Correction. Then he went to seminary and became the pastor of the Bethel AME Church in Boston. He also was a leader of Boston's 10-Point Coalition. The Old Testament scripture is read by Boston University Chancello John Silber, and the New Testament by Boston University President John Westling. The short break at 9:58 is where the original casssette tape was turned over.en_US
