This is an exploratory study of fathers who are members of a psychotherapeutic group which was formed in January, 1961, at the Boston University-Boston City Hospital Child Guidance Clinic. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the fathers in the group and or their families, and to examine the content and context or the first group meeting, attempting to explore the initial concerns of these particular fathers whose children are in individual therapy at the guidance clinic.
