Although musicologists generally regard Gilles Binchois as a major figure in fifteenth-century Burgundian music, there exists but one publication dealing exclusively with his compositions, in this case the chansons, which have always been considered his masterpieces. This corpus of sacred music has, until now, remained uninvestigated in any depth. It is the purpose of the present dissertation to fill that gap [TRUNCATED]en_US
