Some factors affecting algal periodicity

The problem involves an investigation of apparent causal factors of algal periodicity. A swamp pond in a nearly mature stage of succession was chosen as the research site. Isolation was a primary consideration in site choice. Monthly collections of algae were made, taking the samples from an abundant, but select group, of aquatic plants.
