This is an investigation of endodontic files from five manufacturers, evaluating the consistency with which they were manufactured, and their adherence to the American Dental Association Specification Nb. 28. The investigation used methods and materials as outlined by the American Dental Association Specification Nb. 28. Statistical inferences were derived from the data that indicated files varied not only among manufacturers, but were quite inconsistently produced within the same manufacturer.en_US
