Description
This collection contains the Guide for Rotation Directors and Facilitators for the VA Bedford Geriatric Medicine GME rotation. From 2017 to 2023, the curriculum was implemented with approximately 240 PGY2-3 family medicine and internal medicine residents from four area programs, and 33 PGY4 subspecialty geriatrics trainees from two programs, on 2–4 week rotations. The guide provides detailed implementation instructions, a tactics table for optimizing residents' ability to learn and to care for patients, and facilitators' guides for exercises in Resources B, D, E, and H, covering multicomplexity, comprehensive geriatric assessment, interprofessional collaboration, and active medication management.
