Description
This is the archive of a reading and discussion given by Bernardo Atxaga, Basque's strongest literary voice. He belongs to a group of Basque writers who began publishing in the Basque language in the 1970s; his work has been translated into more than seventy languages. An English translation of The Accordionist's Son is was published by Graywolf Press in February 2009. Guest: Ilan Stavans, Lewis-Sebring Professor of Latin American and Latino Culture at Amherst College.
