Abstract
Jesus said, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?" In this sermon I look at two men in particular--my father and the father of a classmate from Phillips Exeter Academy--in considering how they lost or gained the world and their souls. This is mostly a modern-day fable with a biblical "moral."
