Description
This is the concert program of the Recital: Ensemble for Pianists on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., at the Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Five Waltzes, Opus 39 by Johannes Brahms, I. Mars, The Bringer of War and III. Mercury, The Winged Messenger from The Planets by Gustav Holst, I. Vif from Scaramouche by Darius Milhaud, I. Prologue: Allegro moderato and II. Scherzando e misterioso from Symphonic Dances from "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein, Divertimento from "Passacailles" by Mikis Theodorakis, III. The serpent's kiss from The Garden of Eden, Four Rags by William Bolcom, La Valse, poeme choreographique by Maurice Ravel, Variations on a theme by Beethoven, Opus 35 by Camille Saint-Saƫns, I. Tangata and II. Liebertango by Astor Piazzolla, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, symphonic poem by Paul Dukas.
