Description
This is the concert program of the String Department Recital on Thursday, December 10, 1992 at 8:00 p.m., at the Marshall Room, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Allegro moderato from Violin Concerto No. 2 in D major, K. 211 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Allegro vivace and Adagio affettuoso from Sonata No. 2 in F major for Cello and Piano, Op. 99 by Johannes Brahms, Allegro non troppo from Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, Op. 37 ("Gréty") by Henri Vieuxtemps, Suite No. 4 in E-flat major, BWV 1010 by Johann Sebastian Bach, Allegro from Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104 by Antonin Dvorák, Allegro ma non tanto from Sonata in A major for Cello and Piano, Op. 69 by Ludwig van Beethoven, Violin concerto No. 4 in D major, Op. 31 by H. Vieuxtemps, Allegro non troppo from Violin Concerto No. 3 in B minor, Op. 61 by Camille Saint-Saëns, Adagio-Moderato fro Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 by Sir Edward Elgar, Allegro moderato from Violin Concerto No. 2 in D major, K. 211 by W. A. Mozart, and Adagio sostenuto-Presto from Sonata No. 9 in A major for Violin and Piano, Op. 47 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
