Abstract
Purpose: The aims of this study are: A) to evaluate the marginal and internal fit of a three-unit zirconia FPD frameworks fabricated from four zirconia CAD/CAM systems and materials, B) to evaluate marginal fit of copings with different finish line designs fabricated with various digital scanners and milling systems, C) to evaluate the effect of aging under hydration at 37[degrees]C for three different materials, at baseline, after 48 hours and after two and a half years.
Materials and Methods: Part A: Two acrylic model teeth, #29 and #31 were mounted in a clear epoxy resin (Buehler) with space for a missing tooth (#30). The mounted teeth were prepared for zirconia fixed partial denture (FPD) restoration with deep chamfer finish line. Using polyvinyl Siloxane impression material (Reprosil, Dentsply) and type IV stone, the "master model" was replicated generating 40 stone models for fixed partial denture (FPD) frameworks.
