Ablaye had an advanced Islamic education and served as a Quranic teacher and a marabout (religious leader and healer) in the village of Kignini in Kolda.The manuscript is a copy from the original Arabic document with glosses in Mandinka Ajami made by Ablaye Bayo in 1983.
