Afterwards, he was sent to Koussy to pursue his advanced Islamic studies at a school led by Alpha Yaya Drame. After his advanced studies, he came back home. A few years later, he moved to Bounkiling in the region of Sedhiou to pursue more advanced studies at the Sollycounda learning center, where he spent eleven years.
