That the program of the past has not been adequate to meet the need of the denomination seems to be the opinion of the leaders. The sources of this information are the history of the Baptists, the recorded answers to a questionaire sent to the leaders of the denomination, and finally, tracts and reports of the directors of religious education in the states that comprise the Northern Baptist Convention.
