As a result of this declining enrollment, administrators have channeled more resources into recruitment efforts. Boston University’s graduate program in Dental Public Health has experienced such a decline. It is felt that one of the contributing factors may be a lack of personal contact between the school and the potential applicant. More creative recruiting efforts are needed to assist in increasing the number of completed applications. The main goal of this project was to explore the feasibility of using alumni to assist in recruitment efforts for Boston University's Dental Public Health Program. Information was collected on 67 graduates through a mailed survey. As part of this project, pertinent information gathered fell into three major areas: personal information, employment status, and recruitment interests. The results of the survey have provided valuable information in which an alumi recruitment program can be pursued.
