On generalizations of the Chebychev inequality

Abstract
A survey of a selection of generalizations of
probability inequalities of the Chebychev type
for univariate distributions is presented. Conditions
under which these inequalities may be
used are indicated. The development of these
inequalities is outlined and the results are
all similarly formulated for purposes of comparison.
