Abstract
To determine the degree of correlation between musical aptitude and music appreciation as measured by the Seashore Measures of Musical Talents and the Fisher Measurements of Musical Appreciation.
The Pearson Product-Moment "r" was found to be .31. This indication a negligible correlation. From this coefficient of correlation it was concluded the most students on the secondary level could benefit by a study of music appreciation of general music.
