This exploratory psychological study has the following major objectives: 1) To outline a psycho-social theory of the educated African as he encounters, collaborates with, and confronts his (neo-)colonizer; and 2) to provide an en~irical assessment of identification, locus of control, and aliena tion among Somali students in the United States .
