Abstract
This paper addresses the alarming rates of physician suicide in the United States, attributing the issue to the unintentional separation of mind and body within western medicine. Despite consistent reminders to prioritize mental health, the existing medical infrastructure falls short in addressing role strain and burnout, especially among women in the field. The demanding nature of the profession, with 80% of physicians reporting full capacity or burnout, underscores the need for effective strategies like exercise, crucial for mental health maintenance. Urging a paradigm shift, this study emphasizes the importance of physicians establishing boundaries and prioritizing activities for mental well-being.
