Abstract
Description
Two visual exercise handouts teaching jugular venous pressure (JVP) measurement technique. Activity #2 explains why JVP estimates remain constant regardless of head-of-bed angle and offers learners seven observations to help them measure JVP at the bedside. Activity #3 provides clinical photographs for learners to practice estimating JVP and determining volume status (hypovolemic, euvolemic, hypervolemic).
