Description
This is the concert program of the Piano Department Spring Semester Concert on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 8:00 p.m., at the Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Sonata in E-flat major, Hob. XVI/52 by Franz Joseph Haydn, Prelude Op. 32 No. 5 in G major by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Suite Bergamasque by Claude Debussy, Sonatine by Maurice Ravel, I. Allegro moderato from Sonata No. 6, Op. 82 by Sergei Prokofiev, Etudes I. Prelude, III. Toccatina, and VIII. Finale, Op. 40 by Nikolai Kasputin, Intermezzi IV. Allegro semplice, V. Allegro moderato, and VI. Allegro, Op. 4 by Robert Schumann, Piano Sonata 1. X. 1905 by Leoš Janáček, Sonata-Fantasy No. 2, Op. 19 by Alexander Scriabin, and Réminischences de Norma de Bellini, Grand Fantasy S. 394/R133 by Franz Liszt.
