Abstract
Community relations for higher education refers to the administration's function that appraises public attitudes, identifies and relates university policies with community interests, and initiates programs of action to earn community respect and confidence for the university.
In the past, thinking in higher education ignored the world outside the educational gate.
Today, progressive higher education planning considers not only its students but also its community neighbors, and in many cases, the whole nation or other nations. Executives in many small, medium, and large colleges and universities have been studying plans and programs which have been prepared to help them develop and maintain more favorable relations with the neighbors in the communities where they operate [TRUNCATED]
