Description
This is the concert program of the Faculty Concert: Romantic Violins performance on Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at 8:00 p.m., at the Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Passacaglia for Two Violins by Georg Frideric Handel (arr. Halvorsen), "Nigun" from "3 Pictures of Chassidic Life" by Ernest Bloch, Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano by Cesar Franck, Melancholic Serenade, Op. 26 by Piotr Ilych Tchaikovsky, Sonata in C minor, Op. 45 by Edvard Grieg, Caprice in G minor, Op. 18 by Henryk Wieniawski, and "Navarra" for 2 Violins and Piano, Op. 33 by Pablo de Sarasate.
