Description
This is the concert program of the Empire Brass performance on Thursday, February 13, 1986 at 8:30 p.m., at Marsh Chapel, 735 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Canzona Bergamasca by Samuel Scheidt, Aria Duetto from Cantata 78 by Johann Sebastian Bach, Chorale from Cantata 140 - "Sleepers Wake" by J. S. Bach, Duet from Cantata 146 - "My Spirit be Joyful" by J. S. Bach, Horn Quintet, K. 407 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Prelude from "Suite Bergamasque" for Piano by Claude Debussy, Piéce en forme de Habanera by Maurice Ravel, Valse Nobles by M. Ravel, Overture to the "ROyal Fireworks Music" by George Frideric Handel, Return of the Empire by Ira Taxin, Quintet in four movements by Alvin Etler, and Suite from "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein.
