[Memory is a tricky thing. It distorts and reshapes itself each time we revisit our pasts. What we remember is rarely exactly what was - and there is a certain beauty in that. Sometimes, the past is a place we go not for ac- curacy but for solace. Memory can create continuity where time tries to in- terfere, allowing us to preserve old feelings in the present. Memories serve a different purpose for each of us. And yet, memory is essential to our under- standing of our identity, anchoring us to our experiences and relationships.]
