Abstract
There is one main purpose in this study. This purpose is the consideration of apocalypse in the New Testament which will demonstrate the contrast between the Fourth Gospel and the earlier traditions--the Synoptic Gospels and the Book of Revelation. These documents were written over a period of about thirty to thirty-five years, and they represent the thinking of the Christian community in the latter half of the first century.
