Abstract
This project involves measuring and comparing plaque accumulation on ceramo - metal and gold restorations on a qualitative basis with the scanning electron microscope. One sample of each is a smooth surface and one of each is a highly polished surface and the purpose is to determine whether the surface texture of the metal influences plaque accumulation. After 24 hours, a significant difference is discernable whether the surface is ceramo - metal or gold or rough or smooth.
