This is the fourth issue of Partisan Review for the year 1999, a quarterly literary and cultural journal published in Boston. The issue features essays, reviews, fiction, and poetry by a range of contributors, including commentary by William Phillips, articles by Susan Dunn, Michal Govrin, Mark Harman, Edith Kurzweil, Seth Forman, Hazel Rowley, and Terry Teachout, as well as poetry by Yehuda Amichai, Rita Gabis, Lucien Stryk, and others.
