Abstract
Bernard M. Tursch of the Boston University Laboratories isolated a methyl ester derived from erythrophleine sulfate, a mixture of compounds extracted from the bark of Erythrophleum guineense1. This methyl ester was eventually found to be identical with methyl erythrophlamate I2,3, the structure of which was published by Arya and Engel4 [TRUNCATED].
