Description
This is the concert program of the 2002 Soloists' Competition Finals performance on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 7:00 p.m., at the Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Concerto in C Major for Violoncello by Franz Joseph Haydn, Concerto in C for Two Trumpets by Antonio Vivaldi, "Cinco canciones negras" by Xavier Montsalvatage, Our Hunting Fathers, Op. 8 by Benjamin Britten, Concertino, Op. 26 by Carl MAria von Weber, Concerto No. 1 in A minor for Violin, Op. 99 by Dmitri Shostakovich, Concerto in E minor for Violin, Op. 64 by Felix Mendelssohn, Concerto No. 3 for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 26 by Sergey Prokofiev, Introduction, Theme, and Variations, Op. 26 by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, "Ruckert Lieder" by Gustav Mahler, Concerto No. 1 in A minor for Violin, Op. 99 by Dmitri Shostakovich, and Symphony No. 1 for Organ, Op. 42 by Alexandre Guilmant.
