Description
This is the concert program of the Boston University Concert Band with Boston University Flute Choir and Boston University Varsity Orchestra performance on Sunday, April 25, 1993 at 2:00 p.m., at the Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Coronation March ("Crown Imperial") (arr. Stone) by Sir William Walton, "Overture" from "Music for the Royal Fireworks" by George Frideric Handel, Polovetsian Dances from "Prince Igor," "Dance Number 17" by Alexander Borodin, IV. Allegro con spirito from Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73 by Johannes Brahms, "Overture" from "The Magic Flute" (arr. Nancy Nourse) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sicilienne (arr. Robert Webb) by Gabriel Fauré, Porgy and Bess, "Selections" (arr. Robert R. Bennett) by George Gershwin, Dodecaphonic Set by William P. Latham, Concertino for Tuba and Band by Frank Bencriscutto, and Armenian Dances, Part 1 by Alfred Reed.
