Abstract
This bibliometric and altmetric analysis examines the evolution and current trends in women's entrepreneurship in emerging economies by systematically analyzing academic publications. Using the Web of Science database, the study analyzes 63,144 journal articles from 1975 to 2024, employing citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and co-word analysis. Key findings include identifying significant themes such as gender disparities, financial hurdles, and socio-cultural obstacles that women entrepreneurs face. The analysis reveals a growing body of research focused on the developmental trajectory of women's entrepreneurship, highlighting the persistent challenges and burgeoning opportunities within this field. Implications for theory involve understanding the role of gender in entrepreneurial dynamics, while policy recommendations advocate for targeted support mechanisms for women entrepreneurs. The study underscores the need for more inclusive economic policies and greater access to resources to bolster the entrepreneurial landscape for women in emerging markets.
