Description
This is the concert program of the Evening of Negro Spirituals and Songs by African-American Composers performance on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 8:00 p.m., at the Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts. Works performed were the traditional songs Go Down Moses and He's Got the Whole World in His Hands; Song for a Dark Girl by Rick Ian Gordon; Ride on King Jesus, Steal Away, and Honour, Honour arranged by Hall Johnson; Nunc Dimittis by Eugene W. Hancock; Witness arranged by H. Johnson; Give Me Jesus arranged by Moses Hogan; Love Let the Wind Cry by Undine S. Moore; For You There Is No Song by H. Leslie Adams; I, Too by Margaret Bonds; Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal arranged by Alice Parker; Sometimes I Feel arranged by Robert Shaw; and Shout on! and My God is a Rock arranged by A. Parker.
