Genetic parallels of perceptual structurization in cerebral pathology as reflected in Rorschach test responses.

Abstract
This study is part of an extensive program of research concerned with the structure of perception in a variety of pathological conditions.
Organismic views in neuropathology and psychopathology, such as those of Jackson, Head, and Goldstein, and empirical Rorschach test findings in childhood, schizophrenia, and brain damage have implied certain similarities between pathological and developmentally early functioning. The problem arose of explicitly viewing an important function like perceptual structurization in cerebral pathology, as differentiated from that in psychopathology, in terms of parallel processes manifested at various stages of normal perceptual development.
