Description
This is the concert program of the String Department Recital on Thursday, February 25, 1993 at 8:00 p.m., at the Marshall Room, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Adagio and Allegretto from Sonata in A minor, D821 ("Arpeggione") by Franz Schubert, Allegro moderato and Andantino tranquillo e dolce from Sonata for Violin and Piano, Op. 9 by Karol Szymanowski, Violin concerto No. 5 in D minor by Henri Vieuxtemps, Caprice in A minor, Op. 1 No. 24 by Niccolo Paganini, Cadenza per Viola Solo by Krzyztof Penderecki, Scottish Fantasy, Op. 46 by Max Bruch, Allegro moderato from Sonata in A major, D574 by Franz Schubert, Polonaise de Concert, Op. 4 by Henryk Wieniawski, Zwischen Berg und Tiefem Tal from Der Schwanandreher by Paul Hindemith, Legende, Op. 17 by Henryk Wieniawski, Suite for Solo Violoncello by Gaspar Cassado, and Violin concerto in D major, Op. 77 by Johannes Brahms.
