Description
This is the concert program of the Boston University Symphony Orchestra and Winners of the 2002 Soloists' Competition performance on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at 8:00 p.m., at the Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Overture to "Ruslan and Lyudmila" by Mikhail Glinka, "Octo" by Ramon P. Castillo, Cello Concerto in C Major, Hob. VIIb: 1 by Franz Joseph Haydn, "Cinco canciones negras" by Xavier Montsalvatge, and Violin Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 99 by Dmitri Shostakovich.
