Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to present an exposition and evaluation of the phenomenology of Edmund Husserl. The goal of Husserl's phenomenology is to describe apodeictically the unchangeable aspect of factual experience and then use the product of such a description as the foundation for philosophy. In this thesis three phrases of Husserl's phenomenology have been considered: first, the method of suspension; secondly, the apprehension of eidetic being through eidetic insight; and thirdly, the unchangeable noetic-noematic structure of experience together with the transcendental Ego that comprises its dynamic foundation. This is followed by some remarks that are intended as an internal criticism of his position. [TRUNCATED]
