Abstract
The purpose of this dissertation is the evaluation of the relationship between the empirical evidence and the resultant theistic cosmology in the philosophy of Edgar Sheffield Brightman. Such an evaluation requires a description of both the empirical evidence and the resultant theistic cosmology. Hence, the first five chapters describe the pertinent areas of Brightman's thought.
