Description
This is the concert program of the Guest Artist Series performance on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 6:00 p.m., at Marsh Chapel, 735 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts. Works performed were "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" from Solomon by George Frideric Handel; Concerto for two Harpsichords, BWV 1062 by Johann Sebastian Bach; Tir-nan-Og (Land of the ever young), Ceol Measgadh (The Music Collection): Courting Song-Strathspey-Reel by Anne MacDearmid; Concertino for two harps, Op. 76 by Lex Van Delden; Prélude, Fugue et Variation, Op. 18 by César Frank; Etude de Concert "Au Matin" by Marcel Tournier; Carillon by Georges Bizet; Bugeili' or Gwenith Gwyn (Watching the Wheat) from Welsch Melodies for the harp and Cambria-Welsch Melodies for two harps by John Thomas; Kolibielnaya (Berceuse), Op. 16, No. 1 by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky; Aubade (Morning Serenade) from Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 by Sergei Prokofiev; and Dance of the Rose Maidens by Aram Khatchaturian.
