Description
This is the concert program of the Boston University Jazz Big Band performance on Wednesday, February 23, 1994 at 7:00 p.m., at the Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. Works performed were Harlem Nocturne by Earl Bostic (arr. Cifarelli), The Cascades by Scott Joplin (arr. Patrick), The Heliotrope Bouquet by S. Joplin (arr. Patrick), No More Blues by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Bluff Point by John LaBarbera, I Love You by Cole Porter (arr. R. Dedrick), Come Rain or Come Shine by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer (arr. R. Fote), Cottontail by Duke Ellington (arr. J. LaBarbera), A Child is Born by Thad Jones, Morocco Bound by John Dankworth (arr. K. Wheeler), On A Clear Day by Burton Lane and Alan Jay Lerner (arr. J. Berry), First Love Song by Bob Brookmeyer, and Echoes of Harlem by Duke Ellington.
