    The “College Admissions Scandal” broke in the winter of 2019, which inspired CC160 students Grace Ferguson and Alejandra Mclinn to think about privilege and access to higher education. What does it take to get into a college like BU? What role does legacy status play in the admissions process? In this episode, Grace and Aleja spoke to Kelly Walter, Associate VP and Dean of Admission at BU. They also asked current BU students for their take on legacy admissions.

    Episode 1 – What is the BU Hub?

    Kenneth Elmore, Associate Provost & Dean of Students at Boston University, has spearheaded the university’s efforts to develop cocurricular experiences as part of the BU Hub, the university’s first-ever general education initiative. In this hour, Dean Elmore and Eric Jarvis speak with Pedro Falci and Grace Ferguson on the history and vision of the BU Hub, and how it will create a culture shift at Boston University. Kenneth Elmore served as co-chair of the Hub Cocurricular subcommittee. Eric Jarvis serves as a Program Manager for the BU Hub, with a focus on cocurricular development.
