Biography: Mamadou Biaye was born in Numbaato-Maroncounda in the region of Kolda where he started his Islamic education. Later, he went to Bassora in The Gambia to continue his Islamic studies. He also spent a few years in Dianna-Sonkodou in the region of Sedhiou. He conducted peripatetic learning in Pakao, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, and Kolda to deepen his knowledge in Islamic studies and metaphysics. He now serves as a religious leader, diviner, and healer in Numbaato-Maroncounda.
