Biography: Alphousseyni Mandiang was born and raised in Birassou-Kandienou in Guinea-Bissau, where he started his Islamic education under the supervision of his father. Later on he moved to Pakao-Bambadiong to pursue his advanced studies at the school of El-hadji Ibrahima Drame. Afterwards, he moved to Dakar to pursue further studies. While in Dakar he received some training at the Islamic Institute there. Later, he moved to Bignona in the region of Ziguinchor and spent a few years at the school of Fansou Bodian, where he deepened his knowledge of Arabic grammar. He later spent three years in Sudan to further his education. He returned back to Sedhiou where he now serves as an Imam and Quranic teacher.
